Samaritans saved the day

I WOULD like to give my grateful thanks to all the people who helped my husband Rodney Byrne (Shaver), when he was taken so ill on Wednesday, September 21.

There were so many good Samaritans I don’t know the names of.

The Lewes Tesco staff were brilliant. Pauline the first aider and the security guard were first at his side, and the management dealt with the crisis so efficiently.

A big debt of gratitude is also owed to the ambulance crew and paramedics who attended Rod and virtually saved his life.

I must also mention our lovely neighbours Alan and Dawn who took charge of our frightened dog and Maureen Messer who helped me.

My husband was tended to by the wonderful doctors and nurses at RSCH and was fitted with a pacemaker the next day. He is now home and doing well.

Thank you all so very much.

Chris Byrne,
