Showing disdain as local elections poll cards dumped

Today, on the floor of the first entry to my block of flats, there was a pile of official poll cards for the forthcoming local election.

Each card bore the name and address of each resident of the 18 flats in the block but the person entrusted with their delivery had no time for such niceties and simply dumped them.

In the light of unremarkable turnouts for local elections I would suggest the electorate needs no lessons from a council employee in how to show disdain and contempt for the democratic voting process.
