Remember years ago, when atomic waste was shipped out through Newhaven Port?

The present rubbish incinerator is virtually in the centre of the town. The present piles of rusty scrap iron on the quayside await export.

But how about this. There are only four legal options for disposal of human corpses in Britain, one of which is sea burial for which a license is required. And there are only two places around the UK coast where sea burials are allowed.

(1) The Needles, Isle of Wight and (2) Newhaven, East Sussex.

See, I told you so. Newhaven IS the local dumping ground. Just remember that, next time you go for a paddle or a swim.
