Street lights - a little bit of cost saving

Geoff King from Seaford needs to get into the real world (letters, August 3). Oh dear ESCC have reduced the street lighting in his street in Seaford and they go out at 1.30am! Without even asking why street lights need to be on at 1.30am (does he ever sleep?) he ought to live in our village of Upper Dicker and many other villages across the county where street lights do not exist.

In addition we have no daily public transport, no mobile library and of course pay our full council tax dues. It’s OK Mr King I am happy to subsidise you a little less now! Well done ESCC for trying to save money.
