Time to join cycle marathon

I am writing to readers in the South East to let you know that there is still time to register for a place on the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) iconic London to Brighton Bike Ride, taking place on Sunday, June 16.

Why not make 2013 the year that you join over 27,000 cyclists and ride the 54-mile route from the capital to the Brighton Promenade? The ride is a great way to help keep your heart healthy and will raise funds to help the BHF continue its life-saving work.

This year will be the 38th anniversary of the BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride, supported by Santander. Over the years, around 750,000 riders have taken part, pedalling more than 40 million miles between them and raising over £57 million for the BHF.

The ride is suitable for all levels of ability – whether you are a keen or budding cyclist - the London to Brighton Bike Ride is simply a must-do.

Ditchling Beacon is the highest point of the ride at 813 feet and is a renowned challenge among cyclists.

To find out more visit bhf.org.uk/L2B or call 0845 130 8663.

I really hope everyone in the South East makes their mark by taking on the ride this June and uses their pedal power to help the BHF continue the fight against heart disease.
