We need more joined-up thinking over Lewes transport hub

Michael Parfect obviously lives nowhere near Lewes Railway Station car park if he thinks that there is “dire need” for increased public parking provision in this area.

My living room window overlooks this car park and it has not once been filled to capacity during the past 12 months in my experience.

Furthermore, the construction of an upper deck to the car park would lead to the destruction of the existing avenue of trees along Southover Road, in direct conflict with the aims of the Lewes Urban Arboretum project being promoted by Friends of Lewes. Let’s have some joined up thinking here!
