Youth mugged in broad daylight

The incident, which took place on Thursday 22 April between 4.30pm and 5pm, happened near the library in Sackville Road.

Two young men were approached by two females who asked them for money.

The women were then joined by a group of men who chased one of the youths along Wickham Avenue into an alleyway.

The young man was pushed against a wall and had his his bag taken from him and items stolen.

The victim was left upset and shaken by the incident.
