Youths Rob Pensioner

A PENSIONER was knocked to the ground, punched in the face and robbed of his wallet as he waited for a bus on Saturday night in Lancing.

The 73-year-old man from Worthing was outside the Post Office in North Road when he was approached by three youths, who pushed him over.

They then assaulted him and snatched his wallet from his trouser pocket.

But the victim got up and hit one of them in the face before they ran off.

The man was taken to Worthing Hospital suffering from bruising to the arm, leg and face.

The robber, who was hit by the man, was described as male, aged between 18 and 20, 5ft 10in, of stocky build and had his hair in a long ponytail.

He wore a light-coloured jacket.
