Dozens of zombies, in make up that rivalled horror film special effects, shambled from the pier to the town centre in a terrifying procession.

At Priory Meadow a Thriller flash mob took centre stage re-enacting Michael Jackson’s iconic dance video.

But the gory spectacle was all for a good cause as it raised money for the charity Jack’s Dream, a charity which was started by a Bexhill mum in 2011, which provides support to families who have babies who are stillborn, or die shortly after birth.

The pier was serving up special Zombie cocktails, and hosted an after-party, and a few zombies shambled as far as the Old Town.

Organiser Scott Bartholomew said: “Thank you to everyone that came along this year and took part and those that took part in the dancing from both groups performing thriller. And a big thank you to 1066 target sports for sponsoring the zombie walk because without them this year wouldn’t have been on.”
