Focus is to help people live their best life

“We give them hope that they can live a good life; and we want to show people what that can look like.”

The business was founded just before the pandemic and moved into its premises in Sidlesham, near Chichester, three years ago.

Explains Vicky: “The whole focus was to help people with neurological, long-term conditions, to live their best life and to be shown what they can do.”

Those conditions include Parkinson's Disease, people who have had a stroke, multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injuries and head injuries.

It is life-changing when illness strikes from nowhere. The clinic’s recent clients have included a newly-retired man who then discovered he had Parkinsons; and a 42-year old who had a stroke.

There’s a range of technology and exercise equipment

Says Vicky: “The 42-year old was in full time employment and our role has been to improve his mobility, his confidence, and get him back out doing the things that he enjoys.”

He is now back at work.

The clinic offers a spacious gym equipped with the latest exercise and rehabilitation technology. There is a beautiful garden area, perfect for taking rehabilitation activities outdoors into the fresh air.

There’s a team of both physiotherapy and rehabilitation specialists. Their many treatments include neurological physiotherapy, a falls and balance programme, hydrotherapy and speech and language therapy.

Says Vicky: “We have a range of technology, a range of exercise equipment, and we adapt that and use that to suit each client’s needs.

People can have a free phone call or visit

“We have a welcoming, friendly community feel. People can call in and see us, to see what we’re about.

“Anyone is welcome to visit, but call ahead in advance, so we know that people get the right information and support geared to them.”

Getting in touch -via a 15-minute free help call -can change someone’s life.

People who ask for LV Rehabilitation’s support will receive an assessment with the clinician, focussing on the background to their condition, the things that they're worried about, the problems they're having, and what they want to get out of therapy. Then an appropriate, bespoke treatment plan, is created.

How to contact LV Rehabilitation

Explains Vicky: “Our job is to educate people and give them that support and advice to help them to live with their condition. Get in touch and have a call. That doesn't require any commitment.

“I say to people, you can be better than where you are now.”
