24-0! Railway Club goalfest

Newhaven Railway Club pulled off the biggest win for some years in the Lewes & District League on Sunday when they defeated Eastbourne Albion 24-0 in their division one fixture.

However, it is not a league record as some years ago Kings Head (Cuckfield) beat Brighton side AFC Glynde 28-0.

Albert Hanigoie scored six times and Jamie Bartholomew and Michael Sharpe five each for the Club. Gary Stacey netted a hat-trick, Glen Hickman two and Nick Dawson and Roy Lewis one each. The other was an own goal.
