A COOKE TOO MANY FOR EASTBOURNE?

CHRIS COOKE'S unbeaten 72 for Littlehampton secured a draw at Eastbourne on Saturday. Cooke starred in stands with Stuart Hanks and Luke Vinter as Littlehampton had to bat for 62 overs to avoid defeat.

A depleted Littlehampton side, missing Benn Challen, Adam and Gary Tester and Matt Staight had needed to score 270 to win after Eastbourne rattled up the runs in no time.

After Geoff Cole was out early on, Chris Heberlein and Chris Kirkham laid a fine foundation for Littlehampton to build on with a 64-run second-wicket stand.
