Aldwick can't halt Hales ... Emsworth ease to victory ... Selsey can see for Miles

Pagham v Aldwick

Aldwick asked neighbours Pagham to bat and skipper Ian Dyer’s 42, Graham Finlayson’s 25 and David Fuente 24 not out left them on 130 for six with 21 balls to go. Mike Hales scored a quick 20 not out to take the final score to 162 for six.

John Young, Louis Paul and Joel Lodge all took two wickets, with Ollie Smith bowling conceded only 17 runs in eight overs.

Joel Lodge (63) batted steadily while wickets tumbled at the other end. Hales bowled two overs taking five wickets for four runs. Sporting skipper Dyer then took him off.

Ollie Smith (24) and John Young (15no) helped Lodge add 83 for the last two wickets until Hales returned to take the final wicket to give him the impressive figures of 2.2-1-4-6, leaving Aldwick 22 runs short.

Aldwick II v Emsworth

Aldwick won the toss and decided to bat on a re-laid square. They were soon in trouble at 24 for four, with Dave Robinson adding 12. A late rally by Dean Stokes (34) and Matt Robinson (26) took Aldwick to 100 all out.

A strong Emsworth batting line-up knocked the runs off for the loss of two wickets with plenty of overs to spare.

Selsey v Bognor Regis Sunday XI

Selsey won the toss and batted on a slow wicket and made good progress with J Miles (56) and T Hoare (32) putting on 97 for the second wicket.

Selsey were in a good position at 120 for two but the introduction of Tanya Wake with career-best figures of four for 41 checked their progress and they finished on 190 for eight. Matt Le Clare bolstered the total with a composed 42.

Bognor started well and were well placed at 64 for two but a batting collapse saw them finish on 123 all out.

Rob Willway top-scored for Bognor with 55, his second 50 of the weekend with Tom Cripps (4-36) and veteran spinner Ben Hoare (2-21) wreaking havoc, Selsey won by 67 runs.
