HAM MANOR golfer Amy Yeates made it to the last 16 of the British Girls Championship held at Sandiway, Cheshire last week.

Having come through two qualifying rounds on the Tuesday and Wednesday she eventually fell to Sweden's Louise Stolle on the Thursday afternoon a bit of a disappointment on her birthday.

In the qualifying round she played with Ireland's Tara Delaney and shot 69 on Tuesday and 78 on Wednesday Delaney produced the mirror image of those scores.

On Thursday morning she got off to a great start against her earlier opponent's sister Karen Delaney but found herself two down at the turn and three down going up the 12th.
