Amy wins major title in Frace as part of British team

WEST Sussex Grand Prix dressage rider, Amy Stovold, has achieved the best success in her career by winning the Grand Prix Freestyle title at Pompadour CDI, France, last week.

Amy (32), from Balcombe, was competing with her outstanding

chestnut gelding, Macbrian, in what was only her second CDI overseas.

per cent clear of their nearest rivals as well as taking third in

the Grand Prix.

The freestyle event is a specialist competition, marked on

artistic merit as well as technical ability.

A number of set movements are choreohraphed into a routine and set to music of the rider's choice, to suit their horse's character and paces.

"Absolutely amazing!" said Amy after the win.
