ANDY'S FIVE-FOR IS NOT ENOUGH

STEYNING Cricket Club were pleased with a draw from their season opener on Saturday at home to Preston Nomads but they finished exactly 100 runs behind their visitors.

Nomads were put into bat and rattled up 254-9 from their 58 overs. Kashif Ibrahim top-scored with 84 and West Indian Carl Simon hit a quick-fire 50 towards the end of the innings.

For Steyning, Andy Ridley bowled half of the overs and finished with 5-88.
