Making their debuts in white collar boxing at the ages of 41 and 45 respectively were Wayne Smith and Jamie Barry. Both gave it their all in hard fights against younger men, but just came up short.

Alex Heskett took on local rival Carl Oakley and what a cracking fight it turned out to be, with Oakley just edging it on a split decision.

Siobhan Keppler took only her second kickboxing fight in front of a very vocal home crowd against Brighton fighter Kirsty Skingle. The Tigers’ technical game shone through as she won all three rounds.

Mike Burman and Russell Small, who achieved dominant victories in their bouts. Burman put on a masterclass that befitted pro standards in only his second fight (the first ended in withdrawal due to a broken shoulder last November), while Small again put on a show in his hardest test to date and a title fight is calling for him.

The main event of the evening saw Amy Campbell fight the undefeated Lily Hannah, from Watford, for the vacant IKF Southern Area Light Welterweight K1-Rules title.

The first round was a close affair with Campbell edging it 10-9 on the scorecards. But after 40 seconds of round two, the fight was over and yet another world-respected title was around the waist of the Fighting Tigers champion.

Fighting Tigers coach Phil Eaton invites all to come and hone their skills with champion fighters and coaches at the Castleham Industrial Estate-based gym. Visit www.fightingtigers.co.uk for more information.
