Anyone for Tennis? Bognor hope so...

Bognor Tennis Club are moving into the future with confidence and optimism.

At their successful open day, all nine tennis courts were in constant action and more than 50 current and potential members played in glorious sunshine with tea and cakes served up in the new clubhouse.

Plans include an invitation to members of the public to try out the weekly ‘pay and play’ tennis coaching sessions that began on Saturday, delivered by professional coaches from Generation Tennis.

Three one-hour sessions are tailored for children. They are for four to eight-year-olds from 9am to 10am, nine to 12-year-olds from 10am to 11am and 12-year-olds and older from 11am to midday.

For adults considering taking up tennis, returning to play after a break or wishing to improve their skills there will be a 90-minute Rusty Racquets session from midday to 1pm. There’s no need to book – just turn up on the day at the club in Nyewood Lane.
