The 20m tumble track has been purchased to help the gymnasts with their training and with the important regional championships and county championships looming within the new few months, it could not have come at a better time.

The track is made up of 17 sections which consist of a heavy-duty metal frame with fibreglass rods stretching across them. Two thin carpeted mats sit on top to provide the gymnasts with a sprung surface on which to train.

The club are lucky to be supported by the Friends of Arun Gymnastics and Trampoline Club, who give up their free time, along with the coaches, to help organise and run fundraising events.

Since they were formed the Friends have helped to raise more than £20,000, used to buy equipment including a air track, A-bars and now the tumble track.

The Friends put in £10,000, which, with investment by Inspire Leisure, meant the club could purchase the tumble track.

A lot of the fundraising comes from the club’s annual Christmas display and club invitational competition which are always supported by local businesses. Without this support the new gear could not have been purchased.

The club are also sponsored by Workmates Recruitment and the Aldwick Rooms and Restaurant.
