Athletics ace to spend day with Kelly

A top teenage athletics talent is to spend a day with Dame Kelly Holmes.

Grace Baker has been selected by the double Olympic gold medallist to take part in the fourth ‘Future Stars with Kelly’ Education Day at Loughborough College on October 22.

Pett-based Grace earned her call-up by winning a bronze medal in the intermediate girls’ 3,000m at the Aviva English Schools Championships during July. Her father, Peter, will also attend.

The ‘Future Stars with Kelly’ day will include educational workshops such as a UKAD 100% Anti-Doping workshop, medical and injury prevention workshops, as well as physical training sessions led by Holmes herself.

Inspirational ‘On Camp With Kelly’ role models will assist the younger ‘Future Stars’ athletes and their support teams throughout the day, offering advice and support regarding their transition from junior to senior athletics.

Kelly Holmes Education has a track record in delivering high quality bespoke Mentoring and Education programmes and is responsible for devising, developing and delivering the ‘Future Stars with Kelly’ Education Day.
