Bangers and smash raid for £1,000 prizemoney

ANGMERING raceway (www.ovalraceclub.co.uk) will deliver a day of action packed racing on Sunday July 26th when the hugely destructive Nudge and Spin/Rookie Bangers take to the track to batter their way through the opposition to claim their stake of a cool £1,000 prize pot and the title of 2009 UK Champions.

Banger teams from around the country will be fielding four cars each. The cars are limited to 1400cc, ensuring that the winners of the evenly-matched cars will be the drivers making the most imaginative use of the front bumpers to remove the opposition, rather than relying on engine power to get to the front of the pack.

The meeting is going to bring a smile to the faces of banger fans and anyone who enjoys some Hollywood-style car chasing action, as well as the local scrap metal merchants as the teams that survive the metal grinding heats will send their remaining cars out for a last chance bid for glory in the last car moving demolition derby.
