Banks blasts EP to Division 1 survival

EAST PRESTON FC came from behind to win at Redhill on Saturday to ensure they would not finish in the bottom three of County League Division 1.

EP needed only a draw to end the season above Redhill but after falling behind, they managed to net twice in a matter of 11 minutes '” having previously only struck once in their last six matches.

After a bright start from EP, Redhill came back into the game and took the lead on 34 minutes after sloppy EP defending. Stephen Gillett fired home to give Redhill first blood.

EP needed a response and got it within three minutes. Paul Brown took a quick free kick to release Josh Biggs and EP's top scorer coolly slotted past Redhill keeper Daniel Kelton for his 17th goal of the season.
