BASKETBALL: Thunder reach BBL play-offs

WORTHING Thunder are in the BBL play-offs for the first time after wins over Sheffield Sharks and Plymouth Raiders at the weekend.

Thunder will now travel to BBL champions Newcastle Eagles in the play-off quarter-finals on Friday (7.30pm).

Thunder needed to win both of their games to reach the play-offs and defeated title-chasing Sheffield 97-95 on Saturday, with 26 points from Reggie Bratton.

Bratton again top-scored on Sunday with 41 points as Thunder beat Plymouth 108-99 after over-time.
