BENN SETS RECORD TON

CLYMPING CAPTAIN Benn Challen deepened Southwick's relegation worries in a superb performance with both bat and ball while also maintaining Clymping's excellent recent form of six wins and an abandoned draw.

Challen starred with the bat for the second consecutive match. Having been dismissed for 91 seven days earlier, he went on to score the highest Division One score this season, 134 not out, beating Southwick's Chris Summers' unbeaten 101 which had been the only previous hundred.

Challen's 134 from 137 balls consisted of 13 fours and seven sixes, most of which were of serious concern to parked cars around The Green.
