BENN'S BLAST TO VICTORY

LITTLEHAMPTON Cricket Club captain Stuart Stoneham could not have wished for a better start to his side's Sussex League Premier Division campaign. After a narrow opening defeat at Chichester, Littlehampton have responded with wins against Hastings last week, and at Steyning on Saturday.

Although Littlehampton are now second in the table, Stoneham insists his team are just going to take one game at a time. He said: "It's another win and at this level, they are all good. "We've got to be confident in every match we play.

"Steyning lost their last six wickets for 18 runs but we are not going to be in a position every week where we are going to take wickets. Other times we are just going to have to stop giving away runs."
