Bexhill must win to be certain of safety

BEXHILL Town must beat Upper Beeding on Saturday (April 20) to be sure of playing County League football next season.

The Third Division side strugglers are three points clear of the drop-zone going into the final match but if they lose and St Francis, Ansty Rangers and Uckfield win, Town could be going down.

Caretaker manager Paul Elphick is confident his team will survive the nail-biting conclusion and said: "We've got the team to do it and it doesn't matter what anybody else does if we win. We can't afford to go and play for a draw, we're playing for a win as we don't want be looking at the others for results."

Kris Kayne could be back in the squad following a tonsil operation.
