Bexhill Rowing Club is on the verge of a remarkable 16th consecutive Coast Amateur Rowing Association (CARA) league title.

The successful club heads into the final regatta of the league season with a healthy 77-point advantage at the top of the league standings having been battling with Deal RC all summer.

Bexhill RC will host the rescheduled Hastings Regatta tomorrow (Sunday), starting at 11.30am outside the rowing club.

All members will want to finish the league campaign on a high by being crowned league champions, leaving four weeks to train for the season-ending South Coast Championships (also involving crews from the Hampshire & Dorset Amateur Rowing Association and West of England Amateur Rowing Association) at Herne Bay.

Bexhill picked up vital points in testing windy conditions at the Folkestone Regatta last weekend.
