Bexhill quartet earn Sussex call-ups

The elite quartet comprises Benji Hammond (under-12s), Hugh Finzel (under-13s) and the Johnson brothers, Sean (under-11s) and Malcolm (under-15s).

Bexhill secretary Hamish Russell said: "This is a great achievement for these lads, who are really keen and work hard at practice.

"Sean and Malcolm can be found playing cricket at each given opportunity and their brother Gary, who is in the middle of their age groups, cannot be really far away from selection either."

Sean, Benji and Hugh have been selected for the Eastern Eagles squad - one of four area set-ups from around the county - while Malcolm will be involved in the full under-15s party.
