Bexhill remain in promotion hunt

BEXHILL remain on the fringes of the promotion hunt from Division Two of the Sussex Cricket League after clinching a maximum points win over Littlehampton.

Victory was essential for a Bexhill side hoping to fill the second promotion place and another superb performance by captain Sam Roberts proved the difference between the teams.

Roberts hit 108 out of Bexhill's total of 212 and then claimed 6-67 as Littlehampton were dismissed for 188.

Sidley's miserable season continued with a 103 run defeat at the hands of leaders East Grinstead.

The top dogs posted a formidable 247-9 and Sidley could only manage 144 in reply.
