Sea conditions permitting, Bexhill are hosting the season-ending CARA Regatta involving coastal clubs from across Sussex and Kent.

The local club is currently top of the league standings, but Deal are a close second. Bexhill will also be aiming to overhaul leaders Shoreham in the grand aggregate (individual race wins).

The first race is due to start at 8.30am and the action will continue into the afternoon, although it could be jeopardised by the forecast strong breezes.

Remarkably, all 12 of the season’s regattas so far, two of which have been hosted by Bexhill, have gone ahead at the first time of asking.
