Bexhill turn to experienced White

BEXHILL United have enlisted the help of the widely-respected Glyn White to try and arrest their present slide to the foot of Sussex Division Three.

The former Rye & Iden United and St Leonards boss was due to take charge of training for the first time on Tuesday night and he is seen as a direct replacement for previous assistant Jack Dalton who is believed to have joined Rye & Iden.

Manager Billy Trivett said: "We're hoping that Glyn White might have a little bit of time for us. We're not really sure of the full extent of his commitment but I would like to think he will be along on Saturday. He does seem quite keen, he's worked with them at different places and they're a good bunch of lads."

Whilst White is coming in, Benjie Symes is on his way out. The midfielder, who captained the side for the past two seasons, has linked up with East Sussex Premier League club Peche Hill Select in order to spend more time with his young family.

Bexhill, who have released a seven-day approach for Crowborough Athletic centre-half Craig Fullerton, return to the Polegrove on Saturday September 18 when Newhaven are the visitors. Kick-off is at 3pm.

United have also been presented with new tracksuits sponsored by the Mermaid at Bexhill.
