Six days before his 26th birthday, Christian Chislett produced a monster total clearance of 133. It came in a doubles frame in a league match at Aldingbourne Social Club.

Steve Hardman broke off for the home side. Chislett, from Selsey RBL, smacked in a long red and didn’t stop until every ball on the table had disappeared.

Chislett’s playing partner Bernie Brown and Tony Hardman did not get a single shot.

“I knew there had not been a century in the league for about ten years so I go for one most weeks,” explained the record breaker.

“I have one in practice most times I have a session but struggle in the league. The league is not really geared towards big breaks as you only have one singles frame and a doubles frame.

“And as it is a Friday night, most of us are on the beers.”

Chislett, who is currently ranked 12th on the Cuestars South of England Championship Tour, posted his personal best break of 146 in a tournament in Swindon in 2009.
