Brace said: Terry will save us more points than he will cost us this season. It s not worth having a go at him for one error.

Fox s faux-pas was to allow a head-high shot from Steve Doughty to pass through his hands and trickle into the net, but Brace thought that the game was a bit of a non-event and that one-all would have been fairer.

Shoreham played well in the first half, taking the lead through Warren Levy seven minutes before the interval. He collected the ball in the inside-left position, went past Seaford s Duncan Kneller, then finished in style low into the bottom corner.

Simon Young got Seaford on terms in the first minute of the second half. The ball arrived at the far post and Young polished off.

In the final 10 minutes, Brace pushed centre-half Martin O Donnell forward in search of a point. His efforts, however, were fruitless, with the ball just not falling in the right areas.
