Blind charity bowled over by Chichester's end-of-season celebration

Chichester Bowling Club held their grand finale to the outdoor season.

It began with a cheque for £1,000 being presented to Beverley Tinson of the West Sussex-based 4SIGHT For The Blind charity.

The charity was selected to receive money raised from the open fours competition held in July. The cheque was presented by Guy Buckle, the men’s president.

The season finale involved many members, male and female, turn out on a lovely day to play in the president versus vice-captain’s match. The vice-captain’s team won 102-94.

The next night, at the City Club, members gathered for the presentation of trophies from the club competitions for the season for the ladies and the men.

Trophies were presented by men’s president Guy Buckle and ladies’ president Chris Hobbs.

Arun’s indoor bowls club held an open day which proved very successful. A total of 12 new members joined and 21 people had some coaching on the indoor rinks.
