Blue Lightning still team to beat

BEXHILL Six-a-Side League champions Blue Lightning have enjoyed another successful season despite crashing out of the cup at the hands of Karma United.

They beat The Elite 3-0 in their first match but lost by the same scoreline against United who went on to lose 3-0 to The Oddballs in a thrilling final.

Blue Lightning manager Les Wood was disappointed about losing in the cup but his team has won the league for the last three seasons and claimed the double last year.

The new league starts in January and Wood is hoping it will be as competitive as the last three.
