Also at the Goonie run was Amanda Shepheard, who ran the half marathon in 2.39.

The film-themed runs are held in Walton, Surrey.

On Sunday it was time for the next in the sequence of movie runs and time to pay homage to everyone’s favourite alien with the ET Phone Home run.

This was another event where you can decide how many of the 3.25-mile laps you complete. Jess Thomson and Tony Holcombe both ran six laps in 2hr 57min and 3.10 respectively; Carl Bryant ran five laps in 2.32 with Nicola Kettley finishing three in 2.12.

Carolyn Stapely ran the Jersey half marathon in 1.43 and Simon Bodsworth completed the very challenging Cheddar Gorge Half in 2.31.
