Boss Short leaves Arundel

ARUNDEL Football Club and manager Vic Short amicably agreed to go their separate ways on Wednesday morning.

Short had been at Mullets for two years, having previously managed Rustington and East Preston, and guided them to seventh place in his first season in charge and then third position last campaign.

Arundel chairman Bob Marchant said: "We have parted company and it was an amicable agreement.

"We finished third last season and played some of the best football I have seen for several years but these things happen in football.

"There's no animosity between myself and Vic and we will stay friends.

"I've now got to concentrate on getting in a new manager as soon as possible."

Short said: "I'll just have a bit of a break from football now and see what happens.

"I'd just like to thank all the players who have played for me in the last two years and all the people who supported me at Arundel."
