The Whitefriars Road-based club hopes to have around 20 of its boxers on show, ranging from juniors through to seniors.

West Hill will hope to continue where they left off last weekend when they enjoyed a 100% record of wins, starting at the Brighton Hilton Metropole on Friday.

Jack Cronin boxed superbly to defeat Morgan King, of Brighton & Hove ABC, on a unanimous points decision, while Connor Sime also boxed excellently topping the bill in the final bout of the evening to triumph by the same outcome against Josh Ellis.

The following day West Hill took two senior boxers to Lakeside and first up was Ben White, who boxed against Indi Gill, of Hayes in Middlesex.

White was sheer class in winning each round easily, showing that the West Hill veteran of 80-plus fights still has a lot left in the tank and continues to be an inspiration for the club’s younger boxers.

The main event of the evening saw Shaun Attrell defend his Southern Counties Championship belt for the second time against the big hitting Simeon Preddie, of Smallholdings Gym.

Attrell demonstrated why he is the championship belt holder by producing a near perfect performance and totally outclassing his opponent, who had little answer to the skill and speed of the West Hill boxer. Attrell prevailed by a unanimous points decision.
