BROADWATER RESCUED BY BAGLEY'S CLASS

AUSTRALIAN acquisition Russell Bagley's unbeaten 97 separated Broadwater from Goring in a match where only five batsmen reached double figures, with only two on the winning side.

Veteran Sri Lankan, Peter Rebera had rescued Goring at the Rec with 56 after Bagley himself, and Joe Owen had accounted for Goring's top five batsmen, plus Dan Geere, for only 49 runs

Goring, without their openers, Chris Bird and skipper Duncan Waitland, received 25 from Rob Hemingway. Then as the potentially matchwinning left-arm spin duo of Ian Timms and Paul Thurston once again arrived damagingly, Mark Meeten came up with a vital 23 to give Goring a total.
