BROADWATER SPIN SOUTHWICK AWAY

IT WAS a day to forget for Southwick on Saturday, as after two 30-point wins in succession they were comprehensively beaten at Broadwater. Russell Bagley continued his excellent form with the bat for Broadwater before left-arm spinners Paul Thurston and Ian Timms worked in tandem to destroy Wickers' middle order.

Dan Feniuk had made immediate inroads into Broadwater's innings with the wickets of Bob Reynolds (5) and Richard Luker (2) to leave Broadwater 25-2 off 7.1 overs. He finished with figures of 2-18 but Wickers' other bowlers struggled to stem the run flow.
