Brown inspires EP to thumping win

EAST PRESTON FC romped to a convincing victory over Shoreham at Lashmar Road on Tuesday night to complete a league double and firmly establish themselves in the top half of the table.

Shoreham briefly threatened at the start, having a third-minute effort disallowed for a foul on home keeper Tom Rand. However, apart from a short spell prior to East Preston's second goal, they were second-best for much of the proceedings.

The home side swiftly established control once they took the lead with only seven minutes gone. Ben Swetman's pass left Tom Levitt with much to do but the former Shoreham striker expertly cut inside his marker and curled an inch-perfect chip in off the inside of the post.

The pair combined again in the 28th minute when Levitt turned beautifully following Swetman's cross, only for the finish to let him down.
