The visiting Hornets were well placed for victory when a Tony Nwachukwu penalty and an own goal from Max Fitzgerald had them 2-0 up inside 20 minutes, but the Stags fought back with goals from Simon Huckle and Jamal Jimoh either side of half-time to level.

Cade, though ensured Horsham took all three points back to Sussex when he headed in Ross Morley’s late cross on 78 minutes as Gary Charman’s side returned to winning ways after defeats to Burgess Hill and Leatherhead in the week.
