CARLO TAKES KEEPING HONOURS

THE ABSENCE of a number of key players made Arundel's job against Lindfield all that much harder on Saturday.

Missing were Neil Mustard (at a wedding) and illness victim Adam Ferrier. Carlo Marcangelo deputised behind the timbers for Ferrier and did not concede a bye in 49 overs.

Arundel were up against it from the off. Lindfield openers Keith Chamberlain and Howard Torkington notched more than 100 for the first wicket before Torkington was run out with the total on 131.

More details in Littlehampton Gazette on May 9.
