Celebrity jockey taken to hospital in Goodwood Ladies' Race

The wife of Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason was taken to St Richard's Hospital after suffering a fall in Goodwood Racecourse's first celebrity women's race.

Annette Lynton-Mason was taken to hospital for further tests after taking a tumble shortly after passing the post in eighth place in the six-furlong contest.

She was treated on the track before being taken to St Richards’s.

Lynton-Mason was riding the Richard Hannon-trained Avon River, who ran under the name of Three Crowns for the purposes of the race, the Magnolia Cup.

The event was staged in aid of London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital.
