The Hornets went down 2-1 at one of the favourites Faversham Town with all three goals, including one for Billy Dunn for the hosts, coming in the first half.

“I wouldn’t say we were at our absolute best but we didn’t play badly at all, we deserved at least a point,” said Charman, also the assistant manager.

“Even their bench said that after the game and when the opposition manager says things like that you know it must be true.”

Horsham have another extremely tough match at home tomorrow night (Tuesday) when they entertain Leatherhead at Gorings Mead (7.30pm kick off) and Charman said: “As a group we were disappointed to lose but also as a group it will make us stronger. We’ll be determined to put it right.”
