Chichester cricketers take Sussex T20 crown

In only their second year in the competitive game, Chichester Priory Park's women's team have won the Sussex T20 League.

Competing against teams from the top Sussex clubs, they won four of their five matches thanks to significant contributions from the bat by Holly Boarer, Freya Davies, Immy Hibberd and new recruit Tanya Wake.

They were able to dominate the opposition, and sound and miserly bowling from all the bowlers, led by Amelia Peachment and Emma Bennison, cemented their victories.

The team now have to consider whether to enter a regional league next year and will be looking to strengthen their squad.
