Chichester take Littlehampton's lead

CHICHESTER are the new leaders of Sussex League Division 2 after they took 30 points from their four-wicket win over Bexhill on Saturday. They took over at the top from Littlehampton who had a free week.

Littlehampton are now 16 points behind Chichester with six matches left and are away to third-placed Stirlands, who trail Littlehampton by four points, on Saturday.

Arundel are up to second place in Invitation League Division 2 after their five-wicket success at Selsey.

Neil Chitty took six more wickets to move on to 28 for the season as Selsey were dismissed for 120.

Gordon Costick's unbeaten 44, from 43 balls, then guided Arundel home with 17 overs to spare.

East Preston's match at Ram and Rustington's home game with Broadbridge Heath were both called off.

On Sunday, Littlehampton's 2nd XI were dismissed for just 59 chasing Haywards Heath's 135-6 in the Sussex League Twenty20 Cup quarter-finals.
