Chichester’s uni netballers are still reaching their goals

Chi’s thirds visited Portsmouth seconds and triumphed 37-26. The first quarter was tough but they were up at half-time.

Player of the match was Lianne Purvis for continually backing up all over the court and demonstrating great feeds into the circle.

Chichester fourths entertained Brighton’s fourth team and won 26-17. The game was close throughout.

After that, the fourths took on Portsmouth in their penultimate match of the season.

By the end of the third quarter, Chichester were down by four. Chi knew they had to step up their game to force errors and turn over as many balls as they could.

All the girls worked extremely hard all over the court. The shooters worked amazingly under pressure and the final score was 29-28 to Chichester.

Player of the match was given to Kate Wiggins for some great shooting.

Chichester’s fifth team stormed their away game in Buckinghamshire 65-3.

In the first quarter, New Bucks were unable to get the ball past the Chichester defence. The shooters played excellently and just kept getting the shots up and in.

Player of the match was Mel Keenan for her interceptions which set up scoring chances.

The win means Chichester have won their league with a match to go in a fantastic season.
