CHIPPS DENY EP VICTORY
THERE IS a lot of attractive and competitive cricket in the lower divisions and this local affair between Worthing Chipping-dale and East Preston was a clear indication of that. Both teams should be higher up the Leagues.
Undeterred by missing out on promotion on the final Saturday for the second successive season, Chipps look well equipped to make another strong challenge. East Preston, equally unfortunate to be relegated from Division 3, have started the new season well.
An interesting mix of experienced players and youthful enthusiasm was on view at the Rotary, with the visitors having the better of the argument though not quite able to force the win.
