CLOSER THAN EP THOUGHT
AFTER rattling up 211-2 from just 45 overs then having Rustington 14-3, East Preston would have been forgiven for thinking they had the game won already, especially as Rustington were 39 all out last week.
But, an excellent innings from Presant Patel with 98 not out almost gave Rustington victory as they fell only 14 runs short. Patel smashed seven fours and seven sixes in his innings.
For EP, Mark Coskin took 4-37 and fellow opening bowler Gareth Bunday, came on to clear up Rustington's last two wickets at the end. Clive Mann was Rustington's next highest scorer with 23.
